NBA Best Bets April 16th

The NBA playoff seedings are set and games start today. With that being said, let’s jump into my NBA Best Bets April 16th!

Nikola Jokic Over 14.5 Rebounds

-105 on FanDuel

Yes I know 15 rebounds may sound like a lot, but let’s view his matchups against the Warriors this year. In Nikola Jokic’s four matchups with them, he’s had 19, 17, 15, and 12.

Like any game, the Joker is going to have to give it his absolute all to give the Nuggets a fighting chance. I expect him to get plenty of minutes to reach this number.

Nikola Jokic even got over this number in his last four games of the regular season.

However, the playoffs are always difficult to predict, but Jokic carried Denver last year against the Trail Blazers and I expect him to give it his all again.

Additionally, Golden State has a good chance at winning the West, which means Nikola Jokic will be on the court often, ensuring confidence he can get 15 rebounds.

NBA Best Bets April 16th: D’Angelo Russell Over 19.5 Points

-112 on FanDuel

The Timberwolves can be difficult to predict having three high-volume guys that take turns sharing the stardom. However, the statistics suggest D’Angelo Russell has the best opportunity.

Moreover, In the four matchups this season, Russell has dominated his over against the Grizzlies by getting 37, 29, 28, and 30 points.

Also, he averages more points on the road this year by quite a bit. The Grizzlies are a great defensive team, but the Timberwolves high power offense forces teams to pick and choose.

Hopefully, D’Angelo Russell has ice in his veins again today and helps bettors.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Over 22.5 Points + Rebounds

-106 on FanDuel

Sticking with the Grizzlies and Timberwolves matchup, Jaren Jackson Jr. is a player to keep an eye on. In their last two matchups, Jaren Jackson ended with 25 and 32 Points + Rebounds.

Assuming the Timberwolves keep the game within reach, JJJ should get minutes to achieve this. The goal is for him to get at least 30 minutes, as he averages 27 on the year.

Additionally, one would assume key starters to each play a little more. Another important thing to remember is Jaren Jackson Jr. needs to be in the game to guard KAT. This further justifies that his playing time should not be an issue.

Recap of the NBA Best Bets April 16th

Nikola Jokic over 14.5 Rebounds (-105 on FanDuel)

D’angelo Russell over 19.5 Points (-112 on FanDuel)

Jaren Jackson Jr. Over 22.5 Points + Rebounds (-106 on FanDuel)
